Sofia Aroca
Periodontist and implantologist, Dr. Aroca earned her degree from the University of Paris VII. She has maintained a private practice since 1996 while also engaging in research, teaching, and international lecturing.
She is a visiting professor in Bern, holds doctoral and honorary professorships at the University of Szeged, co-founded a training center in Paris, and serves on the Osteology Expert Council.
Massimo de Sanctis
A physician and Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Dr. de Sanctis graduated from the University of Florence and completed his specialty training in periodontology at Boston University.
A professor since 1987, he has taught in Rome, Bologna, and Milan, where he currently directs the program in periodontology. He has held senior positions in multiple international societies and congresses, including the European Federation of Periodontology (EFP).
Marco Clementini
Specialized in periodontology and implantology, Dr. Clementini received his DDS from the University of Rome (2005) and holds both a master’s degree and a PhD in dental sciences. He lectures at several Italian universities, speaks at international congresses, and publishes in peer-reviewed journals. He practices at the CSO Clinic in Rome, where he is also a partner.
Christelle Darnaud
Dr. Darnaud earned her DDS and completed advanced training in periodontology and implantology in Rennes, Paris, and Toulouse. She has practiced privately, taught at the university and hospital levels, and obtained a PhD exploring the relationship between oral health and cardiovascular disease. She currently practices at 26K Paris and is actively involved in teaching and research.
Nicola Discepoli
A graduate of the University of Siena, Dr. Discepoli is specialized in periodontology and implantology, having completed EFP-accredited training in Madrid in 2011.
He holds a PhD in dental sciences and a master’s degree in health research and is currently Associate Professor of Periodontology at the University of Siena.
Filippo Graziani
Associate Professor at the University of Pisa, where he leads a hospital unit specialized in periodontology. Trained in Pisa and London, he has held academic positions at UCL and in Hong Kong. Former President of the EFP, he is a renowned researcher, recipient of several international awards, and founder of Periocampus, Parocentro, and a healthcare start-up
Davide Guglielmi
Doctor of dental medicine with a master’s degree in periodontology and implantology, he practices in Milan at the Milano Face Institute and at the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University. A recipient of several scientific awards, he teaches and conducts research on periodontal tissue management. He is an active member of numerous international scientific societies.
Ignazio Loi
A physician and dental specialist, Dr. Loi practices in Cagliari and serves as Associate Professor at the Universities of Pisa and Milan. An active member of the Italian Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, he has authored numerous publications. His B.O.P.T. (Biologically Oriented Preparation Technique) has transformed the preparation of fixed prostheses and become a global reference in prosthodontics.
Ausra Ramanauskaite
Dr. Ramanauskaite specialized in periodontology, completing her dental and doctoral studies in Lithuania and Germany. She currently works at Goethe University Frankfurt in the Department of Oral Surgery and Implantology. Author of numerous international publications, her research focuses on peri-implant diseases and tissue regeneration.
Mario Roccuzzo
He is a member of the Scientific Committee of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP) and serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Turin and as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology and Oral Medicine at the University of Michigan (USA). Co-author of the recently published book Peri-implant Soft-Tissue Integration and Management.
Carlo Monaco
Dr. Monaco received his dental degree from the University of Bologna and is an expert in prosthodontics and dental materials, holding multiple doctorates and master’s degrees. Associate Professor at the Universities of Modena and Reggio Emilia, he directs a master’s program in Bologna. Recipient of several prosthodontic research awards, he collaborates closely with Dr. Giovanni Zucchelli on protocols for implant-supported restorations and soft-tissue management.
Alberto Monje
Dr. Monje obtained his DDS and completed specialty training in periodontology at the University of Michigan, where he became certified by the American Board of Periodontology. He teaches at the International University of Catalonia and serves on the Osteology Expert Council. Author of more than 110 scientific publications, he maintains a private practice limited to periodontology and implantology.
Francesco de Sanctis
Dr. Francesco de Sanctis is a specialist in periodontology and implantology, trained at the University of Milan with additional certifications in Germany and the United States. He maintains a private practice, teaches internationally, and participates in clinical research on guided bone regeneration and peri-implant diseases.
Ignacio Sanz Martín
A periodontist and implantologist trained at Tufts University (United States), Dr. Sanz Martín is Senior Lecturer at the Complutense University of Madrid and a member of the Osteology Expert Council. Guest lecturer at several universities, he coordinates advanced courses in periodontal plastic surgery for SEPA. He also holds a management degree from ESADE and practices at the CIMPLA Center in Madrid.
Luca de Stavola
Dr. De Stavola graduated from the University of Padua in 2001, specializing in oral surgery and completing a master’s degree in implantology in Germany. He serves as Visiting Professor at the University of Padua, lectures internationally, and has authored numerous scientific papers. His teaching focuses on bone-augmentation techniques, advanced implant surgery, and esthetic implantology.
Cristiano Tomasi
Dr. Tomasi earned his DDS and specialization in periodontology at the University of Gothenburg and is now Associate Professor at the Sahlgrenska Academy.
Recipient of European research awards, he also teaches at the University of Padua. An active member of the Italian Society of Periodontology (SIdP) and the Italian Academy of Osseointegration (IAO), he has practiced periodontology and implantology privately in Trento since 1992.
Giovanni Zucchelli
Associate Professor of Periodontology at the University of Bologna since 2000, Dr. Zucchelli holds a PhD in Medical Biotechnology and has authored more than 100 publications. Winner of multiple international awards, he is recognized for his pioneering work in soft-tissue plastic surgery. An active member of leading scientific societies, he lectures and conducts advanced training programs in periodontal and peri-implant soft-tissue management worldwide.
